Balog Speech & Language Center is a pediatric speech-language pathology clinic specializing in the evaluation and treatment of communication disorders in infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children. Treatment is offered in Dr. Balog's clinic which offers a comfortable environment that is parent and child friendly. This setting provides a naturalistic context for speech and language therapy.

 Clients and their parents can expect to receive speech-language pathology treatment that is family focused with an emphasis on parent training and support. All treatment is provided within the context of evidence based practice, which means that there are research or data to support the evaluation and treatment methods being used.

Benefits of speech and language treatment include early intervention for infants and toddlers.This means your child will get important treatment before preschool or Kindergarten. Treatment often focuses on increasing vocabulary growth, speech sound development if speech is unclear, and the understanding of language. For school-age children treatment often supplements their academic needs. For example, reading and writing, speech sound development, grammar, and vocabulary, to name a few. For all children, a speech and language evaluation will include a comprehensive assessment of all their communication skills. This includes: articulation and phonology, grammar and morphology, communicative function, vocabulary use, and much more.

Dr. Balog is currently an insurance provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. Payments for all insurance deductible rates, coinsurance, co-payments or private rates are expected at the time of service. Balog Speech and Language Center accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express credit/debit cards.
 

 To start the process, please call or e-mail Dr. Balog to determine whether an evaluation is right for your child. At that time, she will answer any questions you may have, determine insurance eligibility, and discuss developmental norms with you. A time can be scheduled if it is determined that an evaluation is right for your child. Evaluations are different depending on your child’s need and are paced for the needs of your child. After the evaluation you will receive a diagnostic report and Dr. Balog’s recommendation regarding the need for treatment. Treatment is typically scheduled one or two days per week, depending on clinic and family availability. Treatment is offered on Monday through Friday (no weekend appointments are available).
